TV Recap

Applies to broadcasts from September 26th to October 2nd, since I just got caught up to that point... Clearly, there may be some spoilers.

Lost: Ok, so the second episode had the same ending as the first episode, which is ok. It did reveal a bit more about what's going on. Hopefully this week (today, actually) will do more than tease, though

Veronica Mars: Oh. My. God.

I mean, really. I didn't think they could bring in a season-long thread that would have the resonance of the Lily Kane murder, but oh my God! They didn't being it in until the last minute, and you couldn't have seen it coming, and, Oh My God! The ghost of Lily Kane thanks Veronica in the best way possible (No, not like that... You people are sick.) An excellent premier, but it comes second to...

Smallville: Wow. Perhaps my favorite Season premier of all time. Just... Everthing was there. I was a bit disappointed by last season's cliffhanger, but it really picked up from there. I mean, General Zod! They're bringing in frikkin' Zod! And the Phantom Zone, and the Fortress of Solitude, and Braniac as played by Spike! Not to mention that Clark and Lana are FINALLY TOGETHER. Like actually, no excuses this time. And it's all because Clark lost his powers... Yeah... Strong opening. I hope the rest of the season can keep it up.

Arrested Development: This season is getting better every week (including this week's episode, which I will talk about next week...) Wee Britain proves to be a funny place to visit, and Charlize Theron is delightfully odd...

The Office, My Name Is Earl, Kitchen Confidential, Everybody Hates Chris: The other four comedies that I purposefuly watch. Three rookies, one sophomore, all funny. I think Earl will get alot of life out if its great concept, and Jason Lee plays the hick-criminal-gone-good perfectly. I haven't seen the original Office series, but if it's as funny (or funnier, as everyone seems to say) as this, then I'd better get watching. Kitchen Confidential continues to entertain with its amazing cast and great writing. And Everybody Hates Chris... It got UPN a 3rd place victory for last Thursday. 'Nuff said.

Invasion & Supernatural: Both shows seem to have slowed down in their second and third episodes, respectively. I may lose interest if they don't start going somewhere.

Boston Legal: Honorable Mention for the coolest opener in recent memory.

Everything else is television as usual. I'll post again on Sunday, if I'm all caught up.
